Elizabeth Sovolos
Founding Director
On today’s busy stage, where content is abundant and communication channels are ubiquitous, crafting and delivering an impactful message is especially challenging. Elizabeth has focused her multi-faceted career on the arts of communication, presentation and performance, and the application of these skills to inspire and influence any audience in any industry or domain. In her diverse professional experience, Elizabeth has a proven track record of enabling her clients to reach their maximum potential in presenting their message and ultimately achieving their strategic objectives.
As Founding Director of Areté Strategic Communications, LLC, Elizabeth leverages her unique combination of creative vision, business acumen and political instinct to serve clients across a variety of industries. Elizabeth’s early career in theater directing - including studying at Yale University’s famed Department of Drama - taught her the importance of carefully calibrating the multifarious aspects of communication to bring a creative vision to life. Elizabeth then transitioned to the private sector to gain expertise in corporate communications. First, at a prominent NYC private wealth management firm, she collaborated with executive management on strategic planning, external and internal communications, and client loyalty strategies. Then, Elizabeth moved to renowned advertising agency, Ogilvy & Mather. where she designed sophisticated brand communications, customer research platforms and demand generation strategies for Ogilvy's largest client, an iconic technology company. She decided to start an independent consulting firm – including for political candidates and government agencies - to utilize the full range of her experience on behalf of her clients. Thus, Areté Strategic Communications was born.
Elizabeth earned her BA at Yale University and her MBA at Columbia Business School.
